Jesus defeated the body of sin; the mind, will, and emotions that were once enslaved to sin. We continue to war with sin because we are delivered from the power of sin, but not the presence sin. We needed to be justified by our savior Jesus Christ. Justification removes the penalty of sin. Sanctification removes the power of sin. We are washed by the blood of the lamb Christ Jesus!
