What is your favorite animal?
Who would have ever guessed it? The dog is my favorite animal, specifically, small dogs.
Domesticated dogs were used as security dogs, hunting dogs, shepherd dogs, and companions throughout the ancient Near East and Mediterranean.
Dogs had a rich biblical history and served very important roles in Roman culture during New Testament times.
Evil doers were compared to dogs in figurative language. However, that didn’t mean that people didn’t enjoy owning dogs, certainly when those dogs were carrying out important work.
