What makes a good leader?

When I was in the army, we talked about loyalty, duty, respect, selfless, service, honor, integrity, and personal courage. I certainly agree, those are great leadership traits. To cap it all off my First Sergeant always said find a way to win. A good leader doesn’t give up. Leader could be defined in many ways, but good leaders have the hart of those they lead.

Titus had good advice for leaders despite the fact that we are not all called to be bishops.

Titus 1:7-9

⁷For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; ⁸But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; ⁹Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
