If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?

If I could permanently ban a word, it would be maybe. so many times the word has made me feel guilt because I couldn’t deliver what was requested. It would be beneficial to say no other than let others down by keeping them on the edge of their seat.
