If we want to inherit the promises, we need to start with Christ. “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness”. Matthew 6:33
Hebrews 6:11–12 (MEV): 12 *so that you may not be lazy, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Promises of what?, justification by faith and the promise of a new covenant that God made with Abraham.
When Jesus died on the cross, he gave it all .
He gave us everything that we were going to need to live an abundant life.
I’m not talking about material things, although those things may follow, because God takes care of his children, but he gave us all things pertaining to life and godliness through Christ Jesus, and what he did on the cross.
2 Peter 1:3-4 (MEV):
3 *His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who has called us by His own glory and excellence, 4 *by which He has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, so that through these things you might become partakers of the divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust.
