What do you do to be involved in the community?
I like to do outreach in my local parks, handing out gospel literature and work at my church.
I also Volunteer with charities, and give to charities in the local area and abroad.
Being involved in your local community fosters a sense of belonging, strengthens social connections, and promotes positive change. It offers opportunities to make a meaningful impact, build relationships, and create a support network. Additionally, involvement in the community can lead to personal growth, increased empathy, and a deeper understanding of societal issues.
Consider the scripture below in the context of Christian community.
Hebrews 10:24–25 (MEV): 24 And let us consider how to spur one another to love and to good works. 25 Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but let us exhort one another, especially as you see the Day approaching.
Romans 12:4–8 (MEV): 4 For just as we have many parts in one body, and not all parts have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and all are parts of one another. 6 We have diverse gifts according to the grace that is given to us: if prophecy, according to the proportion of faith; 7 if service, in serving; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 *he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with generosity; he who rules, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
