Are you a leader or a follower?
I’m a leader, but there are so many levels of leadership and some of us are not cut out for many of them.
For me, there are just some jobs that I won’t go near when it concerns leadership.
Someone once said; “To be a great leader, you need to be a great follower.”In so many ways, that’s true.
Good leadership involves inspiring and empowering others, fostering collaboration, and setting a positive example. It’s about effective communication, integrity, empathy, and the ability to make tough decisions while considering the well-being of the team. A good leader motivates and supports their team to achieve common goals and encourages growth and development.
Why is it important to be a good follower? A great follower involves actively supporting and contributing to the goals and vision set by the leader. It means being reliable, adaptable, and responsive to direction while also offering constructive feedback when necessary. Great followers demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and a commitment to the overall success of the group or organization. Even the best leaders follow somebody.
Jesus said:
Matthew 4:19–20 (MEV): 19 And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.
