The fruit of righteousness

Philippians 1:9–11 (MEV): 9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment, 10 that you may approve things that are excellent so that you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 *being filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God.

I have never understood churches that love God and hate people.

Religious people who don’t have the fruit of righteousness, don’t have love for people that glorify God.

We need discernment, to protect ourselves from people like this. Discernment knows the difference between right or wrong, what is right and what is almost right.

Jesus said:

Mark 12:30–31 (MEV): 30 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. 31 *The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
