It can be very difficult to forgive what seems like the unforgivable, but it’s important to keep in mind that forgiveness is a process and a decision. In Matthew 6:14–15, Jesus tells us that our Heavenly Father will pardon us if we pardon others for their transgressions. Begin by asking God to help you let go of any anger or bitterness and praying for the ability to forgive. Consider the great forgiveness that Christ has granted you (Ephesians 4:32). Recall that forgiveness is the decision to let go of the hurt for your own recovery, not the acceptance of wrongdoing. Have faith that God’s grace will carry you through this.
Matthew 6:12
12 And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us.
