Jesus came in the fullness of time, fulfilling God’s perfect plan for humanity. The phrase refers to the specific moment in history when everything was aligned for His arrival. The Roman Empire had established roads and a common language, making it easier for the gospel to spread. The Jewish people were yearning for the Messiah, and the prophecies about Him were well-known. Spiritually, the world was weary of paganism and in need of hope. In this divinely orchestrated moment, God sent His Son, born of a woman, under the law, to redeem those under the law and bring them into His family as sons and daughters (Galatians 4:4-5). This timing was not accidental but a display of God’s wisdom and sovereignty in orchestrating salvation for the world.
