Below is another snippet from my book “Faith Untwisted”
Doubt serves as a natural response to uncertainty and can arise from various sources, including personal experiences, societal influences, and theological questions. For many Christians, doubts may emerge during moments of crisis, personal loss, or when confronted with the suffering of others. These doubts can lead believers to question the very foundations of their faith, prompting a search for deeper understanding. However, it is essential to recognize that doubt does not inherently signify a lack of faith; rather, it can be a catalyst for growth and exploration, pushing individuals to seek answers and reaffirm their beliefs. There are multiple examples in Scripture where Jesus helps others with their faith. “Lord I believe; help my unbelief.” Mark 9:23-25. We may discover it’s more truth that we need if we consistently blame our failures on our faith. Jesus makes it clear that he will help us when we look to Him. In Matthew chapter 14, the Apostle Peter saw Jesus at Lake Galilee, also known as Lake Tiberias. Jesus told Peter to meet Him on the water. Peter then walked on the water, but Peter began to be fearful and took his eyes off of Jesus and started to sink, but Jesus grabbed his hand and pulled him up. You see, Peter wasn’t walking on the water; he was walking on God’s word. Don’t take your eyes off of Jesus, because He is the Living Word of God.
