Through the cross of Christ, we have been given authority over sin, darkness, and the works of the enemy. Jesus declared in Matthew 28:18, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” And because we are in Christ, we share in that authority.
Luke 10:19 says, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” This means we can walk in victory, resist the devil, and declare God’s promises with confidence.
