What? Peter never walked on water

Jesus and his disciples were in a boat on the Sea of Galilee when Jesus came to them walking on the water, but the disciples were terrified, thinking Jesus was a ghost. Jesus calmed their fear, saying, “It is I; do not be afraid”. Peter, seeing Jesus walking on the water, asked Jesus to allow him to walk on the water as well. Jesus told Peter to come to him, and Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water.

28 Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, bid me come to You on the water.”

29 He said, “Come.”

And when Peter got out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. (Matthew 14:28–29, MEV)

What does God say about His word?

You see Peter walked on the word of God. To everyone who was there, it looked like Peter was walking on water but he was walking on the words of Christ.

“so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”  (Isaiah 55:11, MEV)
