Sometimes we come across so strong with Covenant Rights, and we often fail to realize that Jesus Christ is Himself the New Covenant. We have our Covenant Rights because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross. Preachers have told us in the past that confession is possession, No!, you already have those things you need , you need only to stand fast and be persistent in what you know to be yours. To think that you could receive from God by a confession or speak things into existence would deny that Jesus paid the price for all His riches in glory. When we operate in the finished work of Christ, we operate in true AUTHORITY! We stand on the word of God. Our trust is in the only one who could speak things in to existence and has already done so. That’s Jesus Christ. Mark 11:23 operates by Authority, it’s not by anything that we could ever do. Jesus Christ has delegated His authority. Speaking blessing instead of cursing, life instead of death has its place but God’s word is already established, and we should rest in what Christ has already done. Answered prayers are given by His grace and we should be persistent to trust in God to receive what is yours in Christ.
