When we don’t allow the Bible to preach, we think that we know better than God. This needs to be avoided at all cost.
Letting the Bible preach means allowing God’s Word to be the main voice in our teaching and ministry. It is the commitment to present the Bible plainly, clearly, and faithfully—trusting that Scripture is living, powerful, and able to transform hearts (Hebrews 4:12). Rather than using the Bible to support our points, we submit ourselves to its authority and let it shape the message.
When we let the Bible preach, we aren’t just sharing our insights—we’re echoing God’s voice. This approach exalts Christ, honors the Holy Spirit’s inspiration of Scripture, and leads people to truth that brings freedom (John 8:32). It means preaching in context, honoring the original meaning, and calling people to respond to what God is saying—not just what we think.
