Wait what?

We can’t speak things into existence because we are  partakers of God’s nature but God can.

Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, unless the Lord has commanded it?  (Lamentations 3:37, MEV)

When God made Abraham a father of many nations, who was it that called those things that be not as though they were? It was God!

(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) before God whom he believed, and who raises the dead, and calls those things that do not exist as though they did.  (Romans 4:17, MEV)

God gave us divine power and He deserves all the glory. We are co-laborers with Christ.

3 His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who has called us by His own glory and excellence, 4 by which He has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, so that through these things you might become partakers of the divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust.  (2 Peter 1:3–4, MEV)

When we are co-laborers with God. We work from a position of victory. We work off of what he has already done.

To put your faith in Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross means that everything we will ever need—past, present, and future—has already been provided through His finished work at Calvary.

All he calls us to do is follow him.
