Mass Influencers in Conntrast to Collective Truth

Today I want place a statement under observation “Well, you don’t have a large following like he does, so why should I take your word for it?”

The collective influence of truth in contrast to mass following often operate as competing forces, with empirical evidence suggesting that high-volume followings—particularly when driven by emotional, sensational, or false content—can occasionally spread faster and further than truth. While truth is anchored in facts and evidence, mass popularity is frequently driven by social dynamics, where individuals trust self-confident leaders or popular narratives over verified information.

This will not be a statement in opposition, of mega churches but we live in the age of mega Church culture. Many attendees of these Mega churches lack the discernment to know the difference between what is right or what is almost right. Mainly because of the influence their leadership has over them, and any resistance shown by attendees usually ends badly, if leaders are not open to collaboration.

We need to know what’s commonly accepted as scriptural evidence versus the opinions of a few mega pastors.

Many of these mega church pastors attributed their success to what many would consider a false teaching.

There would be too many examples to be covered in one single blog post.
