Our future generation

Many churches are seeing attendance decline, not necessarily because people have lost faith, but because they’ve reached a stage in life where their needs are no longer being met. Many have spent years longing to build a family, and when they finally do, they walk into a church expecting a place where their children can grow, connect, and belong, only to find little or nothing in place for them. No children’s ministry. No teen ministry. No clear investment in the next generation.

At the same time, youth sports are booming. Fields are full. Schedules are packed and even though these things were never meant to be a competitor, parents and entire families are showing up consistently, week after week. Those environments are structured, engaging, and intentionally built around their children. The contrast is hard to ignore: where churches often lack infrastructure for young families, youth sports have created it—and families are responding accordingly.

This contrast was intended to bring attention to the needs of families. We should never be selfish with our spiritual experience.

Many are willing to volunteer from the heart to meet the needs of families. Not everyone is looking to for a paid position. We need to be in it for the outcome and not the income.
